Fruit garden

We decided to work out a fruit garden on our backyard.
Fig tree is the easiest tree to start with in Atlanta, though I'm still dreaming about apple trees :)
Another easy-growing beauty is blueberry bush. It turns red in autumn, have nice little white lili-of-the-valley-like flowers in spring and lots of berries in summer.

oh, I'm so excited about going back to Atlanta and developing my own garden with fruits and vegetables! Who would have thought that after years of growing and processing vegetables in Russia, I would still want to do it. But I do!

Grand openning of the growing season

It's time to find seeds, place hundreds of signed pots on a window ceiling and wait for the sun. This year I decided to start earlier and get a more impressive harvest of cherry tomatos.

Spring time

My front yard flowerbed: Narcisis - Tulips - Irises - bordered with Blue Grass
1) Narcises start blooming late Feb - early March.
2) Late March Tulips fall in blossom.
3) Irises take their turn in early April.
To do
- Check if lilies bloom later than irises or not, if Yes, I should plant some behind the irises. Another option is chrizantemas, with blooming period in autumn.

Back yard flowerbed: Irises - Lilies - bordered by azelia bushes from behind (and with experimental green onion corner to the right)
Just started to develop.
1) green onion starting from early spring
2) azelias
3) irises
4) lilies (need to verify)
To do: need to develop a nice border line

Home flowers: orchide. Not much, but very beautiful and with strong survival skills :)

Azelias of all colors and shapes in blossom
